Product Description

Cowls, cowls, cowls! I can't get enough of them. They make my life easier and that's always a good thing. They are often seamless knitting projects too, which is definitely a great thing!

This one is nice and easy to wear. Knit in the round with pretty lace panels. Finished top and bottom with rows of neat Garter st. Eyelet holes along the top to thread the drawstring. Optional pom-poms to embellish the drawstring ends and add a little whimsy. The drawstring makes the cowl's fit adjustable to your daily moods.

Make this the everyday cowl that makes you smile.

  1. Knitted Drawstring Cowl - a Hit with Teens

Posted by Lorraine Patskanick on 31st Mar 2013

The pattern for the free knitted drawstring cowl worked up beautifully and the finished product was a big hit with my fifteen year old granddaughter. The directions were easy to follow and not very time consuming. In fact, I'm now making another one for a different granddaughter with probably at least one more for still another granddaughter unless some of their mothers and sisters request them also, although I'm hoping they want different styles because by then I'll be bored with the pattern.

  2. Great Christmas gift to be

So pleased to have this beautiful pattern to add to my Christmas to do list for all my female relatives!

  3. #142 Drawstring Lace Cowl - Easy but interesting and beautiful.

Posted by Nanuk on 7th Oct 2012

This cowl knitted up quickly and kept me from getting bored. I made two of them within a couple of days. (I'm a very experienced knitter) The first in Lambs Pride worsted and the second in Manos del Uruquay. Both are beautiful. -A tip for a less experienced knitter: I don't see a reason for having to keep track of both the actual knit rows and the pattern rows; too confusing and unnecessary. I knitted the first 5 rows as instructed, then started with pattern row 1, not worrying about the actual corresponding rows. I opted to leave the drawstring eyelets and the draw string out.
