#131 Fairy Tale Three-Lace Scarf PDF Knitting Pattern
Lace + Silk + Mohair
= this heavenly lace scarf, which is wide enough to wear also as
a light stole. Three panels of lace combine to create a beautiful
effect.
The wide center lace panel features a vine lace design with lots
of open lace and stitches that appear to meander up the length of
the scarf. The lace panels on either side of the center panel are
a very complimentary, yet different three-leaf lace stitch pattern.
Both lace stitch patterns are a 12-row repeat to keep thing simpler.
The side panel lace also creates a lovely wavy finish for the long
edges of the scarf.
Knit on size 9 needles to allow the yarn to bloom, this scarf is
incredibly silky and light in weight. It will drape beautifully
as a scarf, wrapped around your neck and fastened like a double
cowl, or nonchalantly worn in any number of ways around your shoulders,
like a stole.
It requires only 2 balls of a lace weight silk mohair blend yarn
that comes in vibrant colors, like the striking magenta featured
in the sample.
