This is a great hat pattern! It took about 2 days to do, and the pattern was easy to follow. I'm actually on my second one - my mom likes mine so much she asked for one of her own!

This was my first cable pattern other than a plain, repetitive twist. It might be the best project I have ever made in my 10 years of knitting. I found it difficult but doable and the instructions were clear enough for a total cable-newbie to follow. I have a big head (22.5") and it fits me perfectly. I am already planning to make one for my niece for Christmas.
