Product Description

Here's a super quick-knit cowl in a great yarn from Malabrigo yarns that is surprisingly soft and light.

Knit this cowl up quickly on size 10 ½ needles in the round, with a visually gratifying stitch that uses cable knitting techniques to create a pretty, embossed diamond design. A ribbed band gathers the cowl on one side for a perfectly-cinched look.

This unisex cowl is easy to wear and easy to gift!

Yarn Used: Malabrigo Mecha (100% Pure Merino Superwash Wool); 3.5 oz/100 g [130 yds/120 m] per hank): 1 hank in color #063 Natural.

Gauge(s):
Pattern Gauge: 26 sts = approx 6 ¼" [16 cm] and 24 rnds = 4 ½" [11.5 cm] in Cable patt.
Yarn Label Gauge and Information:
A bulky weight yarn in a soft merino wool blend with a gauge of 11-13 sts = 4" [10 cm] on size 10-11 [6-8 mm] needles.

    I knit this pattern in Simply Soft yarn by Caron because I had some in my stash in a pretty color. It really knit up quickly and being a very soft yarn, had a bit more drape to it than the picture shows. I will be knitting up a couple more in different types of yarn as I'm sure the thickness, softness, ply, etc. will yield a different look each time. Love it!

    I ordered the pattern one day, knit it up in two days and wore it on the third day! It's fun to knit with cable crosses creating the diamond shapes. I used Berroco Voyage alpaca yarn for a soft, snuggley cowl.
