Product Description

I'm loving this shawl design as it features a lace stitch pattern that's so uniquely beautiful and multi-dimensional!

At first glance, the geometric lines of the lace resemble the cuts of a precious stone. Once you've knit multiple repeats, bands of ribbon appear, zig zagging along the length of the shawl.

However you wish to view and appreciate the lace pattern, it's a true beauty to knit. You can knit the wider, rectangular shawl version, as shown, or a smaller scarf version, which only requires one ball of yarn!

While not a particularly complicated lace, the pattern is a 36-row repeat and is suited towards knitters with lace experience, as well as experience working with the mohair silk yarn. Your experience will be well rewarded with the finished beauty of this design.

The lace pattern is both charted and written.

  1. Soft and beautiful scarf or shawl

Posted by Patti Lake on 4th Aug 2020

I chose the scarf version of the pattern and have loved knitting it. It is very well written and easy to understand. It is also a testament to Katherine's skill as a designer and knitter since kid mohair yarn is difficult to knit with and there is a lot of interesting detail in this pattern. The design elements make the most of the light and airy nature of this yarn.
