Product Description

Simple silhouettes are ideal for allowing a design element to truly stand out. This versatile top is intentionally designed with clean lines so the visual focus is on the gorgeous lace that arcs from shoulder to shoulder.

The pretty lace section is actually comprised of a double eyelet lace panel that is repeated multiple times and staggered to create the curved effect.

Knit this sweater seamlessly from the bottom up in the round. At the armholes, stitches are added at either end for the slight extended sleeves, then the front is completed to the shoulders first, with a little bit of neckline shaping. The back is then knit to the top with some short row shaping to slope the shoulders. A 3-needle bind off joins both shoulders.

Finally, the wide, shaped neckline is finished off with ribbing.

Sample is knit in a lovely linen and alpaca blend that gives the sweater a delicate, rustic look. Easily substitute another soft fingering-weight that will allow the lace stitch definition to come through.

The sweater is knit to a cropped length, but can be easily lengthened by knitting extra rounds before the armhole split. This sweater would work well as a vest too over a slim-sleeved shirt. Bodice lace is charted only.
