A truly unique cable pattern stitch makes this sumptuously textured hat enjoyable to knit and wear!
This hat is knit seamlessly from the bottom up in Malabrigo Chunky, a yarn famous for its fabulous softness, intense colors, and lovely results. Size 11 needles keep this project fast!
Cable twists are alternated with simple lace to create lots of visual interest. Staggered panels further create the textured results. While there is a lace stitch pattern, the result is fancy texture - so this is definitely a unisex hat!
Generous height allow this hat to be worn further back on the head for a slight slouch or pulled over the ears more coverage and warmth.

The cable pattern looks complicated, but is easy to knit. It was a very quick knit, too. I used a size 10 only for the ribbing because it came out too loose with with the size 11. The result is beautiful. It's a gift for a friend who waits in the cool weather for the commuter train. Thank you, Katherine for another great pattern --
