Product Description

Here's a super quick and easy ribbed hat that is sure to please! Knit in the round on circular needles, then finished with DPNs in a striking color combination.

Ribbing makes it very stretchy; alpaca makes it super soft and warm. Make it with the bold stripes as shown, or create your own color scheme. Unisex design.

Finished Knit Measurements:
Unstretched Hat Circumference 15" (This is a VERY stretchy hat); Height 8".

Yarn Used: 1-100g/3.5oz skein (110yds/101m) of Reynolds Andean Alpaca Regal (90% Peruvian Alpaca/10% Wool) EACH in #02 Light Grey, #21 Charcoal Heather, and #16 Black.)

Gauge(s):
Pattern Gauge: Approximately 13 stitches = 3" and 9 Rounds = 2" in 2x2 Ribbing (UNSTRETCHED).
Yarn Label Gauge and Information:
A heavy worsted yarn with a gauge of 16 sts = 4" [10 cm] on size 10 [6 mm] needles.

Approx 80 yds [73 m] for each of the 3 colors.

    If you're a guy who wants a great fitting hat - that doesn't leave "marks" and fits just exactly tight enough that you don't know you have it on / then this is the hat for you! Delivering a finished hat tomorrow hoping to get pics to post

    I used yarn from my stashand was a little off on the gauge.I made it a little longerand it worked.I also just made it in a all tweedy yarn.It fit nicely and I wii probably use pattern again.

    the pattern is a simple one
    only thing - I added 2 inches to make it longer 8" is just too short, most hat patterns are for 10"

    I made this cap for family members. Money was tight. Used dk weight yarns for children worsted weight for adults and a light weight yarn for infants. Cap took a few hours to make.

    This pattern is perfect. It can be adapted easily for womens and childrens sizes. My project is chemo caps for the ladies and gents at my infusion clinic. A project like this helps me use all my left over yarns.
