This sweet and romantic hooded vest will become your new favorite layering piece! It's knit in one piece from the bottom up, featuring a pretty lace border. Knit in pockets with eyelet lace openings adorn the front, along with a double vine lace pattern. Finished off with a hood and drawstring waist tie. Perfectly feminine over a simple long-sleeve tee or over a summery spaghetti-strapped dress. The yarn is a soft alpaca and wool blend from Berroco with great yardage, stitch definition, and lovely heathery colors.
Special thanks to The Yarn Sellar of York, Maine for contributing the Berroco Ultra Alpaca used for the sample. See more about The Yarn Sellar as the Featured Yarn Shop.

This is a beautiful sweater vest patter, great for my fickle spring weather. I love ultra alpaca and the lace work is (hopefully) basic enough for even me to do (without my usual "drop overs"). May not get it done this spring but definitely one of the next in line.

I haven't made this vest yet, gals, but I know it will be a very much used item when I do, due to it's attractiveness, warmth, versatility and practicability. I also love hoodies. Another amazing pattern from Sweaterbabe!
