Product Description

Wardrobe staples, like this cabled vest, are essential for effortless style. With its beautifully finished crew neckline, deep armholes, and eye-catching cable design, this is the piece you'll want to knit now for your wardrobe.

The front and back of the vest are knit separately, beginning with a little bit of ribbing. The cable design then begins, featuring small cables alternating with textured chevron panels, set against a plain knit background. Armhole shaping starts lower to create the deep armholes that allow this vest to work with many sleeve styles.

Shoulders are gently shaped with short rows and joined using a simple 3-needle bind off method. Lastly, the rounded neckline and armholes are finished with neatly ribbed edgings.

Cable design is both charted and written out. Vest as shown is knit in a wool and alpaca blend, which can easily be substituted with a similar, dk-weight wool blend.

This vest was featured in my video on picking up and knitting stitches - which you can view here.
