Product Description

A cable knitter's delight! Even if you're a fairly new cable knitter, this lovely, luscious cowl is dreamy to wear and knit.

It's worked from end to end in a fairly simple, but complicated-looking, all-over cable stitch with some lace elements. Then, the cast on and bound off edges are sewed together to create the cowl shape. A naturally wavy edge is created at the top and bottom edges by the cable stitch pattern. The overall effect is a highly textured look done in a bulky yarn for maximum effect.

The merino wool blend gives the cowl great softness worn against the skin, plus a luxe look with just enough stitch definition and slight halo to make this look like an expensive designer purchase! Plus, the bulky weight of the yarn on big knitting needles makes this a great, quick project ideal for gift-giving too!

  3. Quick Cabled Cowl

Posted by Rose on 23rd May 2016

I loved the pattern but had to substitute the yarn because I couldn't find the specific yarn at Joann's. It worked up fast because of the chunky yarn and I got to make it in a color I love!

  4. Loving the Simple Cables!

Posted by Heather Beasley on 23rd May 2016

I really like how the cowl "looks" complicated but the cables are rather easy. And the fact that it uses chunky yarn - I love that since I like a quick knit. Thanks for the gorgeous pattern.

  5. Cabled Cowl

Posted by Steph on 22nd May 2016

Doing cabling was hard at first, But after doing a few rows it was really easy after that to knit up.

Even If you're not Intermediate/Advanced Knitter
I used a lot of YouTube for help.

Used Lion Brand Wool Blend from Michael's in Canada.

I love my cowl! An easy to read and follow pattern. Quite a quick knit too with the chunky yarn. I also love that they include yarn substitutions.
